A farmer's goose lays a golden egg every day — until greed gets the better of him.
THE GOOSE THAT LAID THE GOLDEN EGGS
A man and his wife had a very special goose. Every single day, the goose laid one golden egg. That was very lucky! But after a while, they started to feel impatient. They didn't think they were getting rich fast enough. They thought the goose must be full of gold inside. So they decided to kill it and get all the gold at once. But when they cut it open, it looked just like any other goose. There was no gold inside at all. Now they had no golden eggs anymore, not even one a day.
