The Fox and the Stork

THE FOX AND THE STORK

A Fox invited a Stork to dinner. The only food was a big flat dish of soup. The Fox lapped it up and loved every bit. But the Stork had a long bill, and no matter how hard she tried, she could not drink the soup. The Fox thought her struggle was very funny.

But soon after, the Stork invited the Fox to dinner. She set out a pitcher with a long, narrow neck. She could fit her bill in easily. She enjoyed every drop of her meal. But the Fox could not get his nose into the pitcher at all. He sat there hungry, unable to reach the food inside.
