A fox wants the crow's cheese and knows just what to say.

THE FOX AND THE CROW

A Crow was sitting on a branch of a tree with a piece of cheese in her beak. A Fox saw her and started thinking of a way to get the cheese. He came and stood under the tree. He looked up and said, "What a beautiful bird I see up there! She is lovely. Her feathers are wonderful. If her voice is as pretty as she looks, she should be Queen of the Birds." The Crow felt very pleased when she heard this. She wanted to show the Fox that she could sing. So she opened her beak and gave a loud caw. Down fell the cheese. The Fox snatched it up and said, "You have a voice. But what you need is brains."
